In 2007, after many years of research and experience, Dr Olivier Courtin observed that the healing of his patients’ skin depended less on their age than on their lifestyle. Diet, exercise, sleep, emotional states and environment appeared to be the key factors in their skin’s regeneration. At the same time, Dr Courtin was working with peptides, chains composed of amino acids, fundamental elements of our body’s proteins that have the ability to revive and stimulate the natural mechanisms already present within each of us.
Dr Courtin, convinced that our environment and lifestyle are the leading factors in the ageing process of our skin and that our bodies contain their own regenerative capabilities, decided it was time to create a new, personalised beauty brand.
He began by recruiting a team of experts to design a new, comprehensive beauty ritual and both skincare formulas and treatments that give maximum results. Dermatologists with expertise in communication between the skin and nerve cells, laser-therapy specialists, a dermo-nutritionist, a facialist and cosmetics professionals agreed not to choose between key molecules and natural super-ingredients, but instead to source the very best in every area and incorporate the highest concentrations tolerated by the skin into each formula. Together, they invented myBlend cosmetics, a new high-end, personalised, authentic and responsible beauty brand.
Who is Dr Olivier Courtin?
Dr Olivier Courtin is the Managing Director of Clarins Group, Director of the Group’s Research Laboratory and founder of myBlend.
As the son of Clarins founder, Dr Olivier Courtin is also a former surgeon who discovered that each skin has sufficient potential to regenerate and repair its own cells provided its neuroimmune system functions well. myBlend was founded to help women reach their skin’s full potential.
Dr Olivier Courtin is also the author of several books on healthy eating and living, such as “Doctor, I want to be the fairest of them all!” and “Beauty in My Plate”.
